accordion type purse bag

This is the latest accordion type purse bag that I made.
I've hand stitched a rabbit on the flap.

This is the back side of the bag with 20cm zipper pocket.

I didn't like making an accordion type bag as it needs to be finished off by using biased tape.
And I just hate using or making biased tape!!

BUT

I came up with the new idea yesterday, and thought I better try it out.
And, as you can see, it worked!!
Now I can make as many accordion type bag as I want!

This type has a front gathered pocket,

2 zipper pockets, one for notes, and one for coins.
8 card holders, and 2 pockets to store point cards in a bulk.

I've hooked the strap on the accordion instead of the top of the flap which I used to do.
If the strap is on the flap, and you open the bag,

see how it tilts dangerously down?
This is the second reason why I didn't like making the accordion type purse bag.
It's so easy to drop things.

BUT

with the new design, I have solved this problem as well!

Great huh?

ipad case bag

This is the ipad case bag I made yesterday, with French cotton. ; )

I put a zipper pocket at the back.

When you open the lid, you can start using the ipad as is!
The lid folds up and

you can make it tilt a bit like this.
All function can be used without taking the ipad out of the case.

see how side function is not hidden inside.

even the bottom function is accessible!

An apple on the thread!

You can put a handle on the case and use it as a bag!

New purse bag with the Liberty

I've just made this cute purse bag with a very unique design of the Liberty.
I've extended the design with hand stitch onto the plain dark green fabric.

More Liberty on the backside of the flap!

There's a handy zipper pocket at the back.

8 card holders, 2 pockets, one long pocket for notes and a zipper pocket for coins.

This is the back sack I made before I went for holiday.
I made it to use it on the holiday, but I took a different bag instead.

It has bottle pockets on each side.

Very original interior with Meisen silk kimono fabric!
One pocket and one zipper pocket inside.

This is the back side, with a funny flap.

Beneath this funny flap is a zipper pocket to put your tickets etc.
This flap is very useful when traveling with your suitcase, because...

It can be joined on to your suitcase like this! ; )

My new bag

This is the bag I've been making this week, and the design is from the bag my mother in law was using on the trip to TAS.

It's so unique that it has this space in the middle to put things like water bottle, etc, and the zipper compartments are on both sides.
It was quite hard to sew the second compartment, and I had to finish it up by hand sewing.
Very interesting design, but not sure if I'll make another one.

more hanging spectacle cases

I'm making more of these spectacle cases!
I've hand stitched on the linen fabric and

stitched Meisen on it as well.

Use it as a spectacle case, or

stationery stand

This is the third one with nice smoky blue linen.

A wavy linen on this side.  It's an accidental wave. ; )

For spectacle, or

pens.

I'll be making more of these, but will stop right here for now.
I have this urge of making the bag that my mum in law was using on the trip.
It had a really unique function, and I always stared at it.
Now, I think I'm ready to make one with a similar function!

Hand craft after the holiday

This is the first item I made after my long Easter holiday.
Funny it looks similar to the bunny ears.
This strange looking object has a good purpose!
This bunny ears are....

A handle to carry this thing around.
This thing,

has a soft inside, with a fabric with batting underneath.

To carry your spectacles!

It doesn't have to be for spectacles, if you don't wear one.
You can put pens, scissors, paper knife, etc.

It can be hang up on the wall like this!

How about a wall hanging stationary box?
