Order bag finished

This is the bag I made for Naoko as an order.
It's almost same as the first one I made for the auction.
I've  changed the leather tab to this twisting hock (don't know it's proper name).

sashiko & patch

This is the embroidered linen I've just finished this morning.
It's for the requested bag.

This is the patchwork I've done with scrap fabrics, and I'm now hand stitching on it.
I think I'll make my own bag with it.

This is the floor mat I made this morning, and is on Auction Japan from today.

Summer room shoes with a dog character

I've put these room shoes on Auction Japan today.
The dog character is from my comic in my Japanese blog.

It has a cotton pad inside for a summer use.
It's women's free size.

I'm making this floor mat to put on auction as well, with my dog character.
It's a character I made from my pet dog Mocha.

Left handed purse

I have received an e-mail from the lady in USA, and asked me if I'm making any more of the left-handed purse.
I wasn't planning on making any more purses, but I am always happy to make anything if there was a request!

So, I have pulled out my pattern out, and started to make one.
This is the design I was thinking to make bag with, but I tried it with the purse.
I actually like it.
It's a cloud & rain hand stitched onto the neivy twill linen fabric.

This is the coin pocket, which I have upgraded from the last one.
It's a zipper pocket and it will be inside of the purse rather than out.
I think I'll be able to finish it tonight.
This purse will be in my Etsy shop this week.

hand made tissue box

I've made patchwork out of scrap fabrics, and I'm going to use it to make my tissue box!
This is the box I made by using the "Cartonnage" art work.
All technique I use are from the book below.

暮らしの中の布箱づくり―広岡ちはるのカルトナージュ

文化出版局

The box is about 5mm bigger than the tissue box you get at the shop.
First you cut 4 corners.  You will use the cut pieces for the lid later so don't throw them away.
When you cut it, you need to leave 1cm each side for the small side, so when you stick it on the box, it will be like this...
Now, you stick the longer side onto the box.
When it's done, you should print out a pattern you like to use for the inside liner.
I use heavy weight paper for inside, as it needs to be smooth for tissue to come out smoothly.
I've printed out this pattern.  It came out funny, but then it looked interesting as is, so I'm going to use it anyway. (Don't want to waste any trees now do we)
This is the lid part, and I used the cut 4 corner pieces for it.
The back side has the same print paper.
I've inserted a cotton tape for 4 corners so it will stop the lid from coming out when you are pulling out the tissue.
Because the lid isn't heavy enough, it will lift up when pulling out the tissue.
The 4 corner tapes will stop the lid to come out from the box.
You can stick or sew things onto the lid to make it heavier.
I think I'll make something to put onto the lid.
Hmmm, maybe fake oreo?
