new bag

This new granny boston bag is on Auction Japan from today.
This is my first "Black" bag.



I have had a great result from the auction last week!

It made me feel very happy that my bags are being appreciated by many people!

I still have a lot of new ideas to put into this design, and also I have a new style in mind too.

I will be making few simple bags for my HP in future, but for now, I will be making more bags for the auction.

antique linen travel bag

My new bag is this big travel boston bag.
It will be in Etsy until 25th May.

The main fabric is an antique Hungarian linen which has a nice old tint to it.
The fabric is very tough and thick, and so I have used the edges of the fabric around the zipper and on the sides.

The inside fabric is a beautiful Japanese print.

granny boston - soyokaze

This is my new granny boston bag.
It will be in the Etsy shop until 21st May.

Sashiko granny boston bag

This sashiko granny boston is now in Etsy until 14th May.
I have always wanted to design a bag with a simple sashiko stitches, but never came up with a design that I really like.
This design has came to me 2 days ago, and so I have started off by stitching sashiko on this antique Hungarian linen.
Then I hand painted blues and reds as I feel like, cut them out with my instinct, placed them in places with my feeling, and then chose matching fabrics.
I always enjoy designing bags from fabric, but it is very time consuming and the inspiration never come easily. I hope it does come more frequently since I really enjoy the work.


I have stitched a kanji "Ame" (meaning rain) for the front blue drop design, and


"Haru" (meaning spring) to the back pink drop design.

Granny bostons in Etsy shop now

I had been making lots of bags, and now that long public holiday has ended in Japan, I have put 3 of my bags into Auction.
I have left out 2 of the bags out this time so I can put them in my Etsy shop.
These 2 bags are;

These two has a cross stitched linen in the centre.
I have cross stitched S for the left one, and F for the right one.
They will be in the Etsy shop until 14th May.

The following bags are in Japanese auction site for 7 days, and they are made by request.

my new story pouch

My new story pouch is now on Etsy until Thursday.
The story part 3 is of this Siamese cat who hates cold.

Matryoshka story bag

This is a very small purse bag.
Size: W 25-19cm, H 15cm, D 5cm
The leather handle can be taken off if you want to store it in the bag.

The bag has a story of Matryoshka and a mischievous deer.
Deer in Japanese is "shika", that it thinks it's also a part of Matryoshka.
So it somehow takes the place of third Matryoshka, and pretends that it's the third Matryoshka.


This is the back side of the purse where you find the third matryoshka, looking surprised and displeased.


I have cross stitched a deer on the side just for an accent.
I will put this bag in Etsy until 7 May as I will put it in Japanese Auction from 7th.
