antique kimono upcycling

I had collected quite a lot of antique silk kimono fabrics

and they were just sitting in my shelf for so long

that I have decided to make summer apron dress out of them.

Hope they will find their new home!

This one had few discoloured patches from ageing,

so I have covered it with an embroidery.

It made it more special!

This is a gorgeous shibori silk fabric, where each dots are hand tied.

I only have one for each pattern so it will be an ONLY ONE item

and I can never make a dress with a same fabric pattern.

Bee satisfied 4 Way Bag in the Etsy shop

This is my new bag I just put into my Etsy shop!

Hi again, and sorry again for not updating this blog and my Etsy shop!

I will try to keep it up with new items from now on.

I made this bag very simple with a black colour and a bee embroidery.

I've also embroidered honey comb at the bottom area for extra texture.

This new bag is very useful when you travel or go to work.

At the back side you have two zippers.

You can store your smart phones at the bottom zipper pocket for an easy access.

And you can put your valuables in through the top zipper with blue fabric frame

and

Voila!

It is magically stored inside the inner zipper pocket of the bag!

It also has one zipper pocket for your other valuables,

and has a swivel hook for you to attach keys, etc.

The bag closes with the double sided zipper which is YKK Japanese zipper

and is very smooth to open.

The bag also has a side pocket where you can store your water bottle.

Here are the 4 Way feature explained: 

You hold the leather handle and use it like tote bag,

or

pull two straps together and use it like shoulder bag,

or

make both straps long and use it like a messenger bag,

or

You pull two straps from both sides and use it like a back pack!

New year and New items in my Etsy shop!!

A Happy new year!!

From this year
I have decided to put some of my items into my Etsy shop.
They will be made to order, but if the item sells first on Etsy,
I will prioritise it and send it on the next posting day.

Just made this unique bag.

I have hand painted and stitched off cut leather onto the lid.

A very simple shoulder bag made with water resistant canvas cotton and leather.

I will be uploading my new items into my instagram from now on as it is so much easier for me.

and note pocket with a divider inside.

I've also made

this saddle bag for my husband's bike.

It was a bit small and needed a third tie at the back

so have to make a new one again.

This is where you store all your point cards.

I was quite busy creating for orders and
